Tokyo 4 days Trip - Day 2 (One Day in Tokyo Disneyland)

4th November 2011

Friday, not a public holiday. Only me and my 2 other friends took annual leave and went to Disneyland, we don't want to go on weekends because it would mean more people. The train station to Disneyland Station got an airport feel in it with the automatic walk way. We almost lost our way in the station, luckily we saw some kids dressed like they were going to Disneyland, we just followed them.

reached Disneyland!
Tokyo Disneyland!
my ticket (it can't be used on weekends!)
almost Christmas, so there was a huge Christmas Tree there
the iconic Disney Castle
I managed to go to all these, and considered it a achievement because there were so many other people.
1. Caption EO
2. Star Tours
3. Space Mountain
4. Western River Railroad
5. Theatre Orleans
6. Pirates of the Caribbean
7. Day time parade
8. Mickey's PhilharMagic
9. it's a small world
10. Roger Rabbit's Car toon spin
11. Cinderella Fairy tale hall
12. Electrical parade dreamlights
13. Disney star light

"Caption EO" was a 3D science fiction film by Michael Jackson. Maybe back in the days, this film was awesome and spectacular, but in this age, it was kind of old and fake. However, this was a tribute to Michael Jackson.

"Star tours" was nice. I always liked star wars. For the "Space Mountain", we got a reserved tickets once we reached Disneyland. It was a scary ride for me, I told my friends that I had have enough excitements for the day and I wouldn't go for any scary, not good for the heart ride again.
star tours (love that C-3PO)
For the "western river rail road", the train ride brought us around some western style settings. There were baby strollers parked outside almost every attractions. I saluted all those parents who brought their babies to theme parks. It was not an easy job, queuing up under the hot sun with a small baby!

"Theatre Orleans" is a dance performance, it's a happy show! For lunch, I ate Ramen. All the restaurants were full of people.

I had little memory of "Pirates of the Caribbean" though. Just remembered someone dressed as Jack Sparrow showed up during the ride. After that, it was the Disney Day time parade. All the Mickey, Minnie, prince and princess were so cute!

After the parade, we went to "Mickey's Philharmagic", a cartoon show. It was kind of funny, although I don't really understand the conversation. After that, we went for the "it's a small world" ride, along the ride, there were many cute little dolls.
we had to queue for a long long time to get into this hall for "Mickey's Philharmagic"

spinners! I did not play it though.
Next, we went to Disney Toontown and we played "Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin". The family queued in front of us was in dilemma, after queuing for so long, the child suddenly cried and didn't want to play anymore, however, the 2 ladies were determined to play with or without the kid, so the kid stayed with the staff and they played. I think the ride was quite mild, but it did make my head dizzied a bit with all the spinning.

"Cinderella Fairy Tale Hall" was a big huge disappointment. Those were not what I expected to see after queuing up for one and half hour! It was just some exhibition items related to Cinderella, I thought it would be at least a movie or performance!
a beautiful mosaic wall besides the "Cinderella Fairy Tale Hall"

After this Cinderella Hall, we went to dinner and prepared for the Electrical Parade Dreamlights. The night parade was awesome! So beautiful! I think that maybe I am more familiar with Disney characters than Universal characters, so this parade was definitely better than Universal night parade.
Dreamlights!

After that magnificent parade, we went to the Disney castle for a fireworks show, Disney star light. It was a short fireworks, but it was a good ending for this Disney trip seeing the sparks on top of the castle! Living the Disney Dream!
light up Christmas tree!
the castle at night, not able to take the fireworks picture though!
Overally, I think that Disneyland was suitable for kids and children below 5 years old. At least I did not hear much cries this time compared to the Universal Studio Japan trip. It was fun!

Oh, before I forget, we met a group of weird kids, maybe secondary school students or primary Year 5 or Year 6 students, one of the girls started to slap her friend suddenly, "pah! pah! pah!.....", and all of them seems like it's a normal thing. No one bat an eye lid at all. They were not fighting because after the slapping, they just continued to queue for the ride, what's wrong with today's kids?
