Freebies as a form of advertisement

After I came back to Malaysia after two yeas in Japan and looking at the various pamphlets and photocopied promotion papers, I felt that it is such a waste! For me, I seldom read it, normally it will just go into the recycle bin waiting to be sold to paper lama man. In Japan, although there are promotion papers too, there are many that utilise free tissue paper as a promotion method. At least people have to look at the cover before they take out a piece of tissue!

Other than tissue paper, the plastic hand fan is one of my favourites too. Well at least it is very useful in Malaysia, we can use it when we need some airflow in this hot weather. People will hold on to it for a longer period, so it will be in the sight of people longer.

Lastly, personally I think that it is very creative. A plumber gave away fridge magnet that contains his contact number. People can just stick the contact number on the fridge and when a plumber is needed, he or she can just look at the fridge door and call! No need to search frantically on Google, hahaha!
