A little thing called love (Thai Movie)

I watched this movie because it got high points in a movie review website (rating 8.2/10). I read the synopsis first and I thought, "Oh, another cheesy romance movie!". I am surprised that I actually enjoyed the movie, the innocent kind of love. Hahaha!

Freebies as a form of advertisement

After I came back to Malaysia after two yeas in Japan and looking at the various pamphlets and photocopied promotion papers, I felt that it is such a waste! For me, I seldom read it, normally it will just go into the recycle bin waiting to be sold to paper lama man. In Japan, although there are promotion papers too, there are many that utilise free tissue paper as a promotion method. At least people have to look at the cover before they take out a piece of tissue!

Lighting Safety

My home was struck by lighting last week, and the casualties were router, television, my brother's desktop LAN port, my laptop AC adapter charger, two ceiling fans,  TV antenna and ceiling. Luckily, we were all fine, no one was hurt.

I think that the lighting struck the antenna first, then the power transferred to the ceiling beneath it and caused the portion of ceiling to drop. The antenna was burnt into pieces. So horrible!

The Face Shop (Sseal Syn-ake Mask Sheet)

I bought this mask when I went to Busan last January. The salesperson was promoting this mask sheet when me and my friend went to the shopping mall, buy two sets, free one set (one set contains 10 sheets). We tried the other skin care products by The Face Shop, we were awed by a cream, right after applied to the skin, it felt so smooth. So, we decided to buy the Sseal Syn-ake Mask Sheet from The Face Shop. It claims to tie skin tissues tightly and enhances skin firmness. We bought two sets and got one set free. I took one set and my friend took two set and split the cost.

I applied the facial mask last Wednesday, well, like many other mask sheets, it couldn't cover my nose area. Anyway, I felt that it could stick well to my face and the liquid seeped into my skin. I didn't feel any discomfort while applying this mask sheet. After applying the sheet on the face for 30 minutes, the sheet started to dry out, so I removed it. My face is smoother and firmer after applying this. But, of course, the effect did not last long, only around one day. Hahahah!

Shiseido D Program

14th May 2013

I love Shiseido D Program's skin care products. This series is for sensitive skin and there are acne care, balance care, moisture care and ageing care. I used the acne care type. My skin condition clearly improved after using that products for 2 months. I had very bad acne problem, now I still got occasional acne, but the redness reduced a lot. Too bad it is not available in Malaysia, so before I came back, I went to supermarket and bought 2 sets, enough for around 6 months use, hahahah!

I used the toner 化粧水 and moisturiser エマルション only initially. However, during winter, I felt dry, so I went back to Shiseido counter and the lady there introduced me to the essence 美容液. It doesn't feel oily, kind of comfortable after applying. My skin is improving, lalalala!

Winter Holiday in Hokkaido (4)

1st January 2013

The first day of 2013, we decided to go to temple to pray. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Japanese will go to temple on the New Year's morning to pray. Actually, when Japanese still followed the Japanese calendar, their New Year was same with the Chinese New Year. However, when they started to follow the Gregorian Calendar, the New Year was synced  to 1st of January.

Anyway, we went to a temple near a zoo. A lot of people were inside the train and most were heading to the temple. The train was not so crowded because we were quite late, people would normally go there as early as possible to pray. Actually, in Japan, JAL and ANA operate special flights to watch first sunrise of the year around Mt. Fuji on 1st of January. Although pricey, all seats were fully booked every year. Interesting!

After walked out from the train station, we could see volunteers or polices patrolling to control the crowd. There were too many people, so we were walking bumper to bumper to reach the temple. The view was breathtaking. The view was like a scene from a Korean drama, Hahahah!
