We went to Miyazaki from Kagoshima to visit Sun Messe - Nichinan, the entry fee was 700 yen per person. Inside this park, there's a Moai Park (the center attraction), which were reproduced in Japan under the Unesco. The Moai was formerly from Easter Island. The Moai was very huge. There were 7 statues, each representing work, health, love, travel, husband and wife, financial and education. Me and Chu photographed with each of the statue. There was a information centre where it explains about the history of the Moai, quite informative. Inside the park, there was a Cape Moai Farm too, that was the first time I saw donkeys.

After touring around. We went to a shrine, named Udo shingu (鵜户神宮) near the Sun Messe. It's like a typical Japanese shrine. However, there's a activity where one can buy 5 'tablet' for 100 yen and throw them into a cliff, if it is thrown into the target, one will be lucky. To throw, female should use right hand, while male should use left hand. Not in luck, I kept throwing the tablets outside the target.

After that, we went to a restaurant famed for Nanban chicken (南蛮チッキン) and coffee. I forgot the name, but it was inside the Miyazaki tourism brochure. One of the specialties of this shop, all the plates, cups, bowls, etc are one of its kind, all unique with different sizes, shapes and colours. It was pleasing to the eyes to see all the chinas being displayed. Plus, the waitress was very cute and beautiful! This Nanban chicken was not to my liking compared to karaage (唐揚げ), a another kind of Japanese chicken dish. Nanban chicken's dressing is mayonnaise, I hate mayonnaise.

Next, we went to Aoshima Jinja (青島神社). It was a small island connected to the main land by a bridge. A shrine is located on the island. The beaches around the island was layered. From aerial view, it looks like a giant washing board. The plants on that island were tropical like, so almost the same with the ones we saw in Malaysia. We saw kids fishing for the 'fish shaped toys' inside the shrine, maybe for good luck, so cute!

After that, we went to the Miyazaki Subtropical Botanic Garden, they have papaya and mango plant here inside the green house. Plus, they have very beautiful and leafy bougainvilleas here. Maybe the weather in Miyazaki is more suitable than Malaysia to plant bougainvillea. After covered all the tracks, we were prepared to leave. But, before that, I had a mango flavoured ice cream with chunks of mango. Very delicious! Miyazaki is famed for expensive Miyazaki mango. I saw one mango sold for around 1000 yen per piece, very expensive.

Next, we wanted to see the overhand bridge (照叶大吊桥, don't know how to pronounce in Japanese). So, drove for more than 1 hour to reach there. To our disappointment again, it was not open. However, we didn't know whether it was due to the time or it was closed for maintenance. Then, we had to endure another long journey back to Kagoshima. The only plus point here was that the view along the journey was nice. For our dinner, we went to a Izakaya recommended by the brochure, a plate of chicken shasimi was free if anyone brought the brochure along.
