One thing I noticed in Japan was that the sheet masks are more varied than in Malaysia. Although some high end sheet masks are really expensive, most major brands came out with cheaper alternatives, like the Kose Cosmeport Clear Turn White Sheet Mask. For a box of 5, it normally cost 500 yen or less in some discount stores. It is quite affordable and the quality is good compared to the price. So, this is the sheet mask I bought when I was in Japan.
Although I have acne prone skin, my skin is actually on the dry side. So, this moisturizing mask is quite useful for me. During the winter months when the heater is on most of the time, applying a sheet mask like this really soothes the skin.

According to the cover introduction, the sheet mask is made of Bemliese (ベンリーゼ ), a long fiber non-woven cloth (キュプラ長繊維不織布). From a Bemliese manufacturer
website, it explains how the non-woven cloth is made. Apparently, the raw material (cotton linters, almost 100% cellulose content) was treated and turned into a solution. After that, the solution would be extruded out on a mesh and binder would be added and the fiber would connect to each other itself (self-bonding), a sheet is formed. Hence the name of non-woven. Well, I couldn't feel the specialty about the surface structure with my hand, but the way it sticks to the face is quite different from other face mask that I have tried.

Well, since it contains glycerin and collagen, the liquid inside this sheet mask is quite slimy. I am ok with that. The liquid inside is also non-alcohol, not added with fragrance and colour additives. In the cover illustration, it shows that since the density of the sheet is high, it can help the good stuffs to penetrate deep into the skin. I don't know whether it's true or not, but I did feel my skin was much moisturized after I used this mask. I go through many boxes of these masks when I was in Japan. If I can find this in Malaysia, I think I will continue to buy and use this.
