23rd February 2013
Left Nagasaki City early in the morning to go to Huis Ten Bosch. Among the theme parks that I went to, I enjoyed Huis Ten Bosch the most. Unlike Disneyland Tokyo and Universal Studio in Osaka, Huis Ten Bosch was less crowded, so I could enjoy more games and spaces, plus I spent less time to queue, that's a very important factor when visiting a theme park.
First, me and my friends (SK and Ari) went to the wrong car park. We entered the car park for WINS Sasebo, a race horse betting facility. It's next to a gate of Huis Ten Bosch. However, we were not allowed to enter because it's only for people with annual pass. So, we had to left and find for the actual gate. (#^.^#)

There were still many car parks left, lucky! We found a spot that is near the gate, hehe! Result, totally we managed to go for 21 activities,
- one piece “Bon Voyage”
- Melody in the Dark Orgelhuis
- Ghost Wedding The Carillon Museum
- Japan Ghost Story
- The castle of the dead
- Grand Odyssey
- Horizon Adventure Plus
- HUIS TEN BOSCH IFX Theater Kirara
- Domtoren
- Mysterious Escher
- Super Trick Art
- Magic Mirror Maze
- Teddy Bear Kingdom
- I4 dome theater & etc.
We didn't spend much time queuing, so I could really enjoy the times in Huis Ten Bosch. (Happy!)
Once entered the gate, could see the windmills, gave a very Holland feel. The time we went was considered quite early for tulips season, but we managed to see tulips too, so lucky!

One of the attractions was the 'Teddy Bear Kingdom', everything was so cute! A special feature of this kingdom was the designer teddy bear couples. I even saw a set of baba and nyonya teddy bears designed by a Singaporean.

We saw performances too. Well, there were many performances, we just watched when we saw one while walking around the place. We didn't come for the shows, there're too many other interesting things! However, the shows were good. It's just that we didn't have enough time.

We watched a show by a singer too. Well, I think he's quite famous because someone actually filmed him when he was singing and the audience could actually sing along. Wow!

Another interesting attraction was the 'Grand Odyssey', we all became movie star! ☆☆☆☆☆
At first, we were required to take face scan using a special camera. Then, during the movie screening, our faces would be plastered on the character, so it's like watching a movie starring ourselves. Kinda funny! The video procedure for the face screening was very comical too, making faces was prohibited. (^ム^)

There are a few 'One Piece' related attractions. Well, I didn't go for all. I only went to the attractions covered by my Toku-Toku admission ticket. Well, the Toku-Toku ticket costs around 6000 yen. To go on board the Thousand Sunny Cruise (One Piece cruise ship), have to add an additional hundreds of yen. Well, that time was winter, the ship won't go cruising around. Just pay for the ticket and take photos only. So, just skip that.

Another attraction that I spent a considerably long time was the 'super trick art'. Well, we went inside because the queue was short. However, I really enjoyed it. I knew that some of the trick arts could be found online, but looking at that was still very stimulating to the mind. (~o~)

The various buildings in Huis Ten Bosch were very photogenic too. Before coming to Huis Ten Bosch, have to make sure the camera's battery is fully charged, there are too many beautiful things.

Well, I am quite disappointed with the thriller city though. It's not as scary as I thought. Quite mild actually.

We had really high hopes when we were queuing up to enter the attraction in Huis Ten Bosch because the staff even took a translated version (English and Chinese) and showed it to us, he was worried that we didn't understand Japanese. We had to assure him that none of us were pregnant or have any history of heart attack. Mmmm, after going through all the attractions in thriller city, my comment "not scary at all."

Huis Ten Bosch was very dreamy at night. From November to March, it's "The Kingdom of Light". So, when the night falls, all the bulbs were light up. A different kind of artificial beauty!

The 3D projection mapping was the most awesome of all. Really stunning.

After the thriller fantasy museum illumination show, 'zombies' came out to scare people off. Kinda funny though, some people were still immersed in the feeling of the show, didn't realise that the 'zombies' were lurking around them, when they realised and screamed, that's interesting!

There's a fireworks show too on that day. Well, to get a good seat to watch the show, the easiest way was to pay for the designated seat. Well, we just found a place where a lot of people were camping and waited there. Well, the view was good enough, managed to snap many photos.

After the fireworks, we visited all the places with illumination show, so beautiful!

Haha, need to mention the exit. The exits looks like a airport departure terminal with a souvenir shop (looks like the airport tax free shop, right?).
The end.

Great post! I wish I saw Huis Ten Bosch at night! It looks completely different from its daytime appearance! I also went to Huis Ten Bosch but there were a lot of queues when I went last March. When did you go since you mentioned the lack of lines? :)

ReplyDeleteHahaha, I went on a weekend in 2013. Well, I think the exact description should be relative short lines compared to the Disneyland or Universal Studios.
