After breakfast at the hotel, we went out for a onsen session. First, our target was Dairotenburo 大露天風呂, however it was closed during winter due to the ski activities. People who were skiing can see the pool, hence it was closed. So, we went to another lesser known onsen.

Then, we went to the bus station to go back to Yamagata. After days of eating traditional Japanese food, my friends were kind of sick of it. So, we ate burgers and fries for lunch. After that, we took train to Yamadera 山寺. There was stairs, lots of it. My friend said that if one could finish climbing in one hour, one could get good luck from it. Well, of course it was not true, she just wanted to encourage us to climb!

The steps were slippery due to the melting snow. At one point, I was stuck in the middle, up not, down not. It was so slippery, I couldn't go up, but down was not an option too, lastly I had to grip the stairs handle and use friction to go up. First time went to a temple in winter, so it was kind of special.
After visiting Yamadera, we went back to Yamagata station to wait for our night bus to back Shinjuku 新宿. However, since it was still early, we shopped in the station for souvenirs. Then, we went to a Izakaya for dinner. Still early, we spent our time in the Starbucks until the time to board the night bus. After reached Tokyo, it was only 5am. I went to McDonalds to eat breakfast and stayed until 10am. Then, I went to the nearby malls to window shop before went to Haneda Airport to catch my flight to back Kumamoto. The end of my winter holiday!
